"Shabba" spotted at ABC Motsepe League Club

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala was recently spotted at ABC Motsepe League club Passion FC.

The South African international is back in the country after partying ways with Turkish club BB Erzurumspor.

South African fans were of the notion that Tshabalala had dropped two divisions down upon returning to Mzansi, but the former Bafana Bafana winger has since cleared the air.

Speaking to Kickoff.com Shabba said, “No I’m in Mpumalanga because the owner of the team Passion Football Club, is a very close friend of mine.

“So he has asked me to come and motivate the team. I’m just here motivating the boys, and it was not necessarily a full session with them you see. So basically me being here is to motivate the boys nothing more.”

When asked about the possibility of joining a team in South Africa ‘Shabba’ said, “At the moment because I have terminated with Erzurumspor there is something that we working on with Jazzman you see. But I promise you as soon as it comes together I’ll tell you first. But ja I’m just here to motivate the boys and hopefully inspire them yes.

“It was not a full session so I wouldn’t say I was keeping fit you see. Even like tomorrow [Wednesday] I will assist the coach with some drills and then he will take over.”

With his jersey number still available at Amakhosi, a return to Naturena is not being ruled out at this stage though his agent has confirmed they are working around the clock to secure him an overseas move.
